Spoken Word at the Asian American Arts Festival
This past Friday, November 6, Wesleyan had its first Asian American Arts Festival. It began with an opening reception at Zilkha gallery, featuring the visual works of some Asian American students. (My work is the furthest to the right, below.)
Later that evening, there was a showcase filled with music, spoken word poetry, and dance. I performed three pieces that night: China Doll, Balance and an untitled piece that I will call "Fuck You" for now. A video of my second piece, Balance, is below.
